Larry,

Do you have a method of changing "risk profile" ?
Or do you just buy puts during down cycle and hold
on to a few ?

Just the opposite. During this down cycle I have been mostly shorting
and I bought MUGFs as insurance. I started with 20 have since collected 40 for an average of about 3/4. They will probably expire worthless as insurance premiums should, but allowed me to leverage large amounts of shorts that paid off handsomely.

Depending on what the picture is this afternoon, I may be doing just the opposite if it looks like MU will start a climb back up. Then the puts you suggested or maybe as far out as OCT will be appropriate for insurance. Then leverage the longs for large moves.

Right now I am playing with some other stocks, TER, NOVL, and LSI, so all my trading funds are tied up.

Tomorrow, though should see some real fireworks, but which way it goes is anybodys guess, thats why I am not in.

DavidG

PS: Larry I only bought the CALLS as MU became over sold. NOT when it was in the 25 to 33 range.
