Sorry, Fred, I don't see your point. Are you implying that El Segundo is a cesspool?
Yes, El Segundo has an oil refinery. It is a Chevron refinery that was built by Standard Oil around the turn of the century (the city takes its name from the fact that the refinery was "The Second" one built by Standard in North America).
El Segundo is much more than that, however. Computer Sciences Corporation is headquartered there, as is computer distributor Merisel, and toy maker Mattel. Xerox, TRW and Hughes Aircraft all have big campuses there, filled with engineers and other white collar professionals. Aerospace Corp, a semi-private firm that works with the Air Force on advanced rocketry and missile technology, is headquartered there.
I'm not writing this for your benefit; you've obviously been to El Segundo, and you're just being an asshole. I'm writing this for other people who may get the impression that El Segundo is a seedy little town with cheap office space for setting up dummy companies. There may be good reasons to dislike ZULU, but setting up shop in El Segundo is not one of them. |
