Dear Greg :

About the trinity. A religion professor asks a class the first day if anyone would care to explain the trinity. A young lad says "oh sure". The professor replies well I've been teaching for 35 years and I can't explain the trinity so class listen up.

That said. I will not try either. However a little food for thought. On the cross Jesus lifts his voice to heaven and says "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me". Twice repeated, once for the Father, Once for the Holy Spirit. He was the Son; so no need to repeat the third time. Interesting, agree ?

Also in Gen 1:2 The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters, which the earth was void and formless at the time. God would speak light or land, or vegetation or whatever but why did the Holy Spirit have to first move upon the face of the waters.

This is wild speculation; but that has always been a function of the Holy Spirit. Trouble the waters, and the Holy Spirit hasn't let up since. Trouble the water of mens souls. Before creation can follow the waters have to be troubled. Before growth and restoration, before renewal and refreshment the waters have to be troubled. Call it a one two punch or God's best "roundhouse swing" but the Holy Spirit had to trouble the waters of the earth before creation could take place, how much more so our souls.

In Christ.gregor
