I think many people will agree that the guys with the money at the moment are the traditional telco suppliers, they are looking for someone with existing telco customers. 70% of revenue is the figure often mentioned as far as telcos are concerned on ASND's balance sheet
3Com are still too enterprise focused to be considered alone as a takeover candidate unless the prospective buyer has a Carrier Class ATM switch. Siemens I guess could be interested in conjunction with Fore or Newbridge but look further than turnover, look at product portfolio, people like Siemens/Ericsson/Lucent probably don't want to get involved with selling $60 NICs or $125 modems. These are very low margin products compared to what they're used to selling.
