Hello Wiz. Nice hearing from you and I am glad that you finally posted your ideas again on the thread. I am sure all of us appreciate this very much. I also just got done reading your Financial Intelligence report sent by email. Thanks.
You gave all of us a pretty good oversight of things to come. I think that you are pretty much on track with your thoughts.
I also believe, despite all those side attractions, that we will still see a big wave in the stock market. I, like you, was very optimistic over the last weekend that the market could start going up this week. What a surprise when Monday came. gg. I put on a post that day and asked if anybody was worried yet. That was around 2 in the afternoon. I was still looking for a reversal by closing time. But the bears won that battle that day. I don't think that you should have felt disgraced by being a little off in time. Hey, I think we got this more right than many analysts and economists. I am glad that you believe also that we should still have good things ahead of us. Minor setbacks, even if they should turn into bigger setbacks, should be viewed, IMHO. as buying opportunities. Of course, at this point, I do think that we have to be more savy stock pickers than at any time before. We do have to buy those cos. that get us into the 21 st century and those stocks you have been naming, definitely fit that bill. Gold stocks are an interesting thought. I know they have gone up but I have not ventured into those in a long time. I am also not that sure about commoditiy stocks. I favor my good techs, telecomm and networking stocks. Pure internet stocks are pretty high but I have ventured into those here and there. Thanks for congrats on Amzn. I exited yesterday between 79 and 80. Still holding my Seek. Was not around to take my profit at 40 but I think I will give this a bit longer and see what happens. Disney's name alone should make it do well.
Pixr. That was a pretty good buy. I got my daughter in it too and her kids have a beautiful picture of Toy Story hanging in their bedroom. Compliments of Pixr. My daughter has hers in her IRA and is pretty pl. with me now. Right after we bought it, S.Jobs cancelled his idea of making it big in commercial animated advertising. It went down some then but now I am considered the King of the Hill again by my daughter gg after this phenomenal rise in the last year. I liked the answer S. Jobs gave the other day after being asked if he was considering a split. I heard that he said: Not before it goes to 75 - 100. He also replied to a question about a buyout: We are not big enough yet to buy Disney. He does have humor. BTW, does it still look good on your Radar Screen?
Anyhow, thanks again for your post and email and pl. keep it up. You do have very timely and interesting ideas and thoughts. I always thought so even if we did differ at times. gg.
Again, you are right. Where else should we invest in this low inflation and low interest environment?
I ventured into Coms again today. So far so good. I also bought CTC today. A bit dangerous but I like the yield in my IRA. I still have my eyes on FON and TEF but the latter is pretty darn high, money wise.
If everything goes well, Japan should be considered again soon for investment. What do you think? Let's hope they will go ahead with getting their economy back up to snuff. They better have their consumers buy some more instead of concentrating strictly on exports. Nobody is helped by this, not us, not they nor the world.
