Nathan,

It is also a well known fact that Intel has already hidden an I740 into every Pentium and Pentium II chip. By simply setting a dip switch on your motherboard you can get beautiful 60 FPS 3D graphics at 1600 x 1200 resolutions; projected onto your wall by the I740 with no special equipment needed (!)

VooDoo II by contrast is actually an old SoundBlaster chip modified to display some simple 3D shapes. Glide is actually a cheat that 3DFX came up with to tap into the power of the hidden I740 without Intel's authorization. Expect a lawsuit :)
