Alright, Frankie, put me down for 45.4cpht-- but my fingies are crossed por mas (like DennisB. just said)!
As discussed by several on this thread, I wanta iterate that from a sample of 40-45tonnes, the cpHt figure can be misleading-- it will improve with sample size. But we gotta start somewhere, right?! :#> Also discussed on this thread, a bulk sampling of K-91 is very likely, possibly even in the '98 summer drill program.
How about any predictions of fancy stones? Coloured diamonds are a bonus! -The caveat there is that Ashton will not release such info if they can keep it secret, it seems ... ! eg, the K-6 fancy 0.76ct canary --------------- More review: K-91 first sample results (192 diamonds from 117kg) 12/18/97:
Lab _ Interval _ Weight(kg)_ #<0.5mm _ #>0.5mm AML 58.2- 69.0 __ 48.0 ________ 56 _______ 6 AMC 87.0- 92.25 _ 20.0 ________ 41 _______ 5 AMC 97.7-108.2 __ 49.0 ________ 83 _______ 1 ___ ------------------------------------ Total ___________ 117.0 _______ 180 _____ 12
Ashton: 'This continues to show the K-91 microdiamond results to be among the best returned to date from the Buffalo Hills program,...' _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Remember this from the Ashton Dec.2/97 NR:
'Kimberlite K-91 is 2.3km north-northwest of kimberlite K-14, and is reflected as a magnetic anomaly 400 metres long and 100 metres wide. In October a vertical core drill hole and three angle holes were put down from one site. After penetrating 15 metres of overburden these holes cut intersections of kimberlite of up to 110 metres in length before passing into mudstone country rock.'
[I am sure that the minibulk sampling of K-91 was done so as to better delineate the kimberlite dimensions.]
Further to that K-91 report: '...The two largest macrodiamonds display maximum dimensions of 1.35 millimetres and 0.95 millimetre, and are clear and colourless.'
