France-Saudi Arabia:4-0 What is with these referees? FIFA bitches that its rules for tackles from behind are not being implemented and here we go flashing 5 cards, almost as many goals as we had today. How in the world you show a red card for a tackle which was not clearly from behind and for sure it was not intended to injure the other player, heck the French player was up right after the incident and the replay showed he was barely kicked? Would he have shown a red card to a French player at this early stage of the game after a similar incident? Hmm, something to think about. Considering the above, France deserved to win. 4-0 may be a little harsh but they could have had more if they could finish better. France showed a superior team so far but they didn't have much of a competition in a ridiculously easy group. All the French are praying now that Zidane does not miss two games. The replay clearly showed that he stepped on the Saudi player with force, he deserved it. The referee had the guts to show this red but how about the foul he called on the French player who was the last man before the golie, dont' the rules say that this is a red card too? If you called the foul, show the red too don't cop out with a yellow. OR don't bother calling anything. Well, the officiating today in this match was not good....Kind of disappointing because I thought that they were doing an excellent job so far and then FIFA officials opened their mouth... I have not watched the other game yet, I have taped it and will watch it tonight. I know the score and my oh my another 3 reds there...S. Africa must beat the Saudis by at least three goals and hope that France beats the Danes by at least 1-0. Each goal France scores on the Danes the S. Africans need one less on the Saudis. It could happen. z, we have dropped out of the Hot subjects, we need you back!! George
