tried to answer your message but it vanished.

1. If CPI is increasingly negative while interest rates are positive but low, this is increasing real interest rates not increasing inflation. It is decreasing inflation.

2. And that is the problem. The interests of the average Japanese (who like declining prices) and Japanese business people (who hate increasing real interest rates) and business people all around the world are divergent. That is why only moderately stimulating actions have been taken to date by elected officials in Japan.

It is a real conundrum.
