Bob, just try to get any physical chemist to buy off on that nonsense! As I pointed out before, there is a difference between open systems and closed systems. So, All independent systems have to go from a state of maximum energy to minimum energy, and to disorder! is true. (independant = closed). But the earth is not a closed system! It receives radiant energy from the sun.

Now just look at the internal contradiction here: A gas is a mixture of particles of different kinetic energy, but it will never separate itself into two halves, each half of the gas a different temperature. True, but if you apply energy to such a system you can generate heat pumps and air conditioners.

So, statements like Evolution and the Big Bang would not be natural or scientific. are generated by people who know nothing of science or evolution. The examples are arrant nonsense. So the next time you enjoy air conditioning or refrigeration, tell me how it is possible -- throwing out heat at one end and cold air at the other. A violation of the laws of thermodynamics? Hardly. Turn off the electricity and see how long your refrigeration system works. Turn off the sun and see how long life persists.

And by the way, the decrease in entropy on earth is much smaller than the increase in entropy of the sun. So taking the solar system as a closed system we see that it is in strict accord with the laws of thermodynamics.

But moving on, The concept of Spontaneous Evolution and the Big Bang Theory contradict the Second Law of Thermal Dynamics! There is no theory of spontaneous evolution, nor is there any law of Thermal Dynamics.

Any system left to itself will decay; that is why you can not create a Virtual Energy machine, a machine of one hundred percent efficiency as it converts energy from one form to another. In any process involving energy conversion, the total amount of energy left for useful work has to be less than the initial amount; this is the Law of Decay. The observable universe is slowly decaying. Stars and people don't grow younger, they grow older and gas clouds are observed to dissipate over time.

True in the aggregate, but remember the open system effect.

Bob, if you are interested in this subject I serious suggest that you read a college level textbook on thermodynamics or physical chemistry, and don't rely on the crap that's churned out by people who know nothing about it. The passage you quoted is a prime example of that.
