Remeber SUNW hedges with forward currency futures. I think they under estimated the strong Dollar/YEN ratio and may not have hedged for a 147 YEN to Dollar. Therefore, if there is any impact to currency changes, it will be due to the incremental weakness in the YEN over the past five to six weeks.

The other impact in such a strong dollar to SUNW is a drop off in ASIA sales due to higher relative hardware prices. I hope this will be made up in stronger U.S. and European sales. Again, I think the European sales will surprise the street.

Also, take note of SUNW's storage business. I hear that Segate reports excellent growth in their "high end" disk drives. SUNW has always been a large buyer of these products. Perhaps this pick up in Segate's business is due to SUNW's successful launch of their storage products.
