Motherboard makers are not pissed at anyone. They all start with a reference design from Intel most likely. They just have to cross-reference the parts from that reference design to obtain the lowest cost with minor added or subtracted features, of course.

Most important of all, they would all embrace something that are about to become standard with high and reliable volume of CPU production.
