LOL. Well, it has been a rough week for everybody here, and for the first time in a little while, I am actually looking forward to Friday more than Monday again. I plan to rest and actually have a little fun this weekend.
I hope that everyone will take some time to reflect on what has happened to the company, but at the same time, don't be obsessive about it. I realize that it hit a lot of people really hard, myself included. But, hopefully, nobody is facing financial ruin because for most of the long termers, the loss should be a paper loss only.
In the meantime, we have done a lot of beating up on ourselves, and each other. I think that it is critical that the in-fighting amongst the shareholders has got to stop. There are some who fully support the new board, and are just laying low and letting the company do what it has to do. There is nothing wrong with that. There is merit in the idea that in time, this company and the stock can recover from this.
Likewise, there are those who feel terribly, terribly wronged by so many different entities that they aren't really sure what happened. They don't know if it was Arcon, Midland, Fisher, Spriggs, the guy in Kentucky, the TA, or WHOEVER...they just know that what was a lot of money three weeks ago is not today. These people have a right to know what happened to their money. Those of us who are in the "lay low and wait it out" mode should respect their right to inquire, and examine, and do the DD again, even if it is after the fact. However, just like the position people who want to investigate, and follow thru with the prosecution or whatever with Fisher should be respected, so should the position of Gary as IR. I don't think it is fair for those who want to investigate to expect him to be the official voice for the company for matters that were prior to his having that position. I am not taking up or defending anyone, and personally, while I am holding and not selling, I still have a keen interest in knowing the whole story. I think that we, as shareholders have a right to know HOW we were ripped off.
LOL....I called a friend in NYC who had been following this stock with me, but had not bought, and filled her in on the events. She said I was stupid not to sell at the peak. She later sent me this email, and told me that this reminded her of all of us. I am going to share it, but I don't want anybody to take offense. Please note that I throw myself right in there with the descriptions: (Hey, we have GOT to keep some sense of humor in here...if we can't learn from something, laugh at ourselves, and move on, we will never overcome it!)
He's a few clowns short of a circus
She's a few fries short of a Happy Meal
He's an experiment in artificial stupidity
He's a few beers short of a six pack
She's dumber than a box of hair
He's a few peas short of a casserole
She doesn't have all her Cornflakes in one box
The wheels spinning but the hamster's dead
He's one Fruit Loop shy of a full bowl
She's one taco short of a combination plate
He's a few feathers short of a whole duck
He's all foam...no beer
The cheese slid off her cracker
Body by Fisher, brains by Mattel
He has an IQ of 2, but it takes 3 to grunt
She couldn't pour water out of a boot with instructions on the heel
He fell out of the Stupid Tree and hit every branch on the way down
His intellect is rivaled only by garden tools
He's as smart as bait
He doesn't know much but leads the league in nostril hair
Her elevator doesn't go all the way to the top floor
He forgot to pay his brain bill
Her sewing machine's out of thread
His antenna doesn't pick up all the channels
His belt doesn't go through all the loops
If she had another brain, it would be lonely
He's missing a few buttons on his remote control
There's no grain in his silo
He's proof that evolution can go in reverse
His receiver is off the hook
She's several nuts short of a full pouch
Her skylight leaks a little
Too much yardage between the goal posts
