Mr. Cramer, I hope you are still reading this thread. I just have to say I do enjoy listening to you on CNBC. I probably will subscribe to your service again when I move to NYC in a few weeks. I think I saw the show when you said you didn't like AMZN. To everyone, when you don't like a company, it doesn't mean you have to short it. I shorted AMZN, broke even on May 26th at 42. But I am not going to short it even if James Cramer was. I saw a chart falling apart and I took a chance.
The last time I took the advice from someone was Elaine Garzarelli in July of '96. With a 385K portfolio at the time, I lost 80K that day on great stocks that recovered the same day! I blamed her, but I WAS TO BLAME. EMOTION, GREED, PANIC got the better of me. And now I have rules. Max 10% on margin. No large positions in Index options. No more than 40% in one company...and if I have more than 20% in that company, know that company inside and out.
My 40% was in Citrix Systems (CTXS) I knew the company and the people in the company real well...I worked there when it was a startup. If you ever want to see a company running on all cylinders, it is CTXS. They are so people oriented and they reward them greatly with options. At the time I worked there from '90 -'93, I was a entry level person, making 1/4th the salary of the CEO and had 1/27th the stock options. I can use that as a comparison because we started the same week as the CEO. How many companies reward people that well...Not many I am sure. They rewarded me handsomely! They rewarded everyone handsomely. The day they went public, they celebrated for a couple of hours, but by 3pm, everyone was working again! Very professional. You can see the technical stuff on the CTXS thread. It's also a great trading stock, moving 20-30% in each direction every month or so.
James, I hope you have looked at this company, but what I have written won't be on any stock report. I am glad you did make face on this thread. I would like to see other professional analysts comment on these forum's. Maybe they do already and just do not know there names.
I wish you all the success.
