Most people do not notice them unless they are pointed out ( someone had to show them to me, now I notice them) On a white screen they are generally quite obvious. I do not think it is an issue for trading machines. If my memory is correct aperture grills are good for text applications. The P815 monitor is a good monitor for high resolution graphic applications. It only looks its best with high end video cards (Matrox MII is one of the recommended cards) One might also check out the Viewsonic G810 $699 !!?? Price Watch. They have been around $1000. Now they start about $900. The resolution is not quite as high as the PT813 nor the P815 but it is more than adequate. Most people will not use 1600 X 1200 for text applications. (max resolution for G810 is 1600 X 1200) Zeuspaul
