A friend of mine enquired about the Fantom Vacuum cleaners. He had this to say:

"I spoke to a local vac dealer, and he tells me that he does not even want to sell them, because of a serious flaw: During operation not all the dust particles are deposited in the canister, but quite a few are blown out the exhaust.
To remedy this they make available at additional cost a so-called HEPA
filter, which is supposed to catch even pollen, that's how fine it is.
The problem is that this filter gets plugged quite quickly, and needs to be replaced at a cost of $70 to $80 a shot.
This objection I also found at a consumer forum where women were reacting to this Vacuum cleaner.

It seems to me that this could be quite serious, and could affect sales quite drastically, once word gets out."

Any Comments?
