When I was there, they had a 50.2-carat stone on display in the recovery plant. It was off-color, but good enough to be valued for export purposes at $3,200 a carat - or about $160,000.
Suggest the quality was not excellent, but if we were to use the same valuation it would mean a gem worth $742,400!
