Jay, The release said that you would be able to update your system files, drivers, inf's, etc. via a built-in communications connection that connects via the IBM Global service for free... It appears that only the 'connect and update' feature is free. That is a lot different than a 'full access free internet connection'. It may even be totally transparent to the user ie fully automated, no user interaction allowed. It should save IBM a bundle in 800 number charges. Ben A.
