Bill, most BB or OTC stocks are not shortable since they must be marginable. I short hype stocks or extremely overvalued stocks; even ones I might have been long at one time but have run up to far. Examples of hype stocks I've shorted lately: ZITL, VVUS, KRY, AVNT (made money on all); overvalued: YHOO, AMZN, DELL, ITWO (lost money on YHOO, DELL and behind on AMZN). I used to short equal to my long equity-bad move. Now I stay around 20% and buy puts if I'm really anxious. Timoteo
