Hi Duke 60, I am not that experienced in options. However, I believe the SOX index is traded on the CBOE. You're right there aren't many sector funds that are pure plays but many perform closely enough. For example, T.R. Price Science & Tech Fund moves very well with the broad moves with the tech sector, while PBGH Tech & Communication Fund moves more with the moves in the SOX index. It seems to me that a sector fund or index gives you the play you want without the risk you get from individual issues which are subject to downgrades and events unforeseen. Maybe not as sexy as individual issues but give you results you are trying to achieve.

Want to find some great stocks to enter the contest? Go to DWA site and look up your favorite sector fund, hit fund information , look up the funds top ten holdings, look for the stocks with with best TA's. Plus you already know the stocks have been through the managers screen. Hope your doing well in this market.
