Things are really heating up, almost 500,000 trades so far with a high of $28. I spoke with a friend who is an assistant to a broker and he stated that their brokers are divided if the Meryll Lynch deal will go through, but that it is very unusual for to rise $6 over a week on pure speculation. The rumour he has heard is that CT Financial will offer $32 and that Meryll will counter with $35 a share !! He added that the street is expecting a healthy spike in the stock price just before todays closing because most are expecting an announcement over the weekend or Monday morning before opening.
Does anyone have access to see which brokerages are buying and selling, block trades, etc..???
