Nice article on the falling hype around internet stocks:

biz.yahoo.com*http://cbs.marketwatch.com/news/editions/seek_fra.htx?dist=yhoo

and the great deal Infoseek got:

"Instead of turning a profit later this year, Infoseek will now lose money until 2002, Benjamin projected. The gaping losses stem from increased promotion of a new Infoseek-Disney site, which will be launched later this year.

Infoseek, as part of its new alliance, must pay Disney $165 million to
cover promotional efforts such as television ads during the next five years. Infoseek also will increase its shares outstanding by 43 percent, which is the size of the stake Disney reaps in the Silicon Valley company. "
