This is from the San Francisco Chronicle, Monday, June 15, 1998. In my opinion, any group that would throw garbage on another is not behaving spiritually, or positively, in any way. In fact, I would argue that for these people, religion is a divisive and truly evil influence on their lives:

But the event, held behind police barriers, was peaceful--unlike in recent weeks, when men and women praying together were pelted with garbage by ultra-Orthodox Jews. |
