Thanks for your thoughts. AVNT is about AVNT vs. CDN. I just find it very interesting that almost every wall street EDA analyst continues to back CDN when they were basically lied to for almost a year. Now that wouldn't be an issue with me if CDN traded at 20X TTM earnings, but when a company tells you for a year how conservatively thier being managed then 1) takes numerous acquisition writeoffs ..sometimes twice, 2)makes EPS numbers by incorporating in Ireland, 3) takes a write of in excess of 2x thier operating costs of a distribution channel (Japan), 4)goes from a direct to indirect sales model in which they own part of the distributor - Japan, 5)constantly misses growth and margin targets for thier future growth vehicle..service/consulting business, and 6)now tells people (only because some hedge funds looked at a 10-k, glad someone is) that they are "extending favorable leasing terms to certain prefered clients" and recognizing 50% of the revenue up front instead of over a time based model; it seems to me as if the stock diserves at multiple discount, not premium. Yes this an AVNT thread but the short story against AVNT is one that is almost as much one for CDN and thier impeccable management reputation and unapproachable market position.IMOO.
