Why would Diamond's Viper V330 Riva128ZX 8MB board affect a possible Banshee deal? Diamond's strengths lie in its ability to make cards carrying many of the hot chipsets, regardless the manufacturer. They currently sell cards with chips made by Riva, S3, Permedia2, 3dfx, Real3D (i740), and probably some more I can't think of. The only ones they DON't sell are those made by companies who make their own cards, like ATI.

When the Banshee comes out, Diamond will carry it if they can. They make their money by distribution and saturation. When I go to inCOMPitent USA, about 30-40% of their cards are made by Diamond.

Cheers,
Tim
