I imagine it wouldn't take much for Diamond to simply clone a Banshee reference board, slap their logo bitmap on the driver setup screen, bundle some software and call it the "Stealth 5000" (or whatever). It might be that their Banshee card would not compete directly with the Stealth 330 because they'll (hopefully) make it a 16MB part. With RAM as cheap as it is, they would hopefully not bother making an 8MB version with which to screw the consumer for another $100 if they wanted the 16MB version (for reference, a 32MB, 8ns 168-pin SDRAM (retail) low-balls at $34, according to www.pricewatch.com).

Here's a thought on why nobody has announced a Banshee card yet: "NDAs". We've talked about them all the time in reference to people not being able to get any info at shows without signing one. Perhaps the board manufacturers are held under similar circumstances, and are not allowed to announce their cards until next Monday. I've noticed that all the competitor's vapor-cards give at least rough specs. Maybe the NDAs limit what the manufacturer could say to the point where an announcement would be meaningless. Perhaps we'll know more next Monday.
