Steve, IMO it is not possible to generalize about the value of the shares traded after filing a chapter 11 reorg. I believe it all depends on the terms of the reorganization plan submitted to the bankruptcy court.
FWIW, I am inclined to believe the new CEO Jenkins that bankruptcy is not imminent and can most likely be avoided. While he could be wrong, he did put his money where his mouth is (purchase of 100,000 shares on June 1).
If the company can avoid bankruptcy and can achieve average industry profitability, my analysis puts the stock price over $10 per share. Thus, there is significant upside potential to accompany the obvious risk.
Good Luck - PerryA
