Good post Mark. I bet there is a little bit of daytrader in all of us. But the main ingredient in investing long, mid or short term is discipline. I spent a lot of dollars learning the hard way last year myself. With a little bit of discipline and lots of luck, I have doubled my wife's IRA in less than a year. Told her she can get a new wardrobe when she retires. My best successes have been mid to long term holdings and a lot of patience. And yes, I still make some stupid mistakes too. I highly recommend the following book to all of you no matter what your particular trading style is. It will make you a fortune and teach you a lot, and most of all - make you a great trader. The Disciplined Trader: Developing Winning Attitudes by Mark Douglas It's all head stuff, no TA or FA, just head stuff. Have a great weekend and Happy Fathers Day to all..........Norms
