Paraguay-Spain:0-0 This was the best 0-0 game you ever saw. This is what the World Cup is all about. The Spaniards constantly pushing forward (ineffectively) and the Paraguayans defending with their teeth clinched and counterattacking dangerously. We are half way through the second round and we are already beginning to see the agony of WC games. Spain clearly needed a win but their forwards so ineffective...tragic really. "Raul Raul go back to school" I just made this up. Did we see a horrible offensive effort by the Spaniards or a truly remarkable defensive effort by the Paraguyans? Probably a bit of both. Is anyone going to score on this goalie???Spain needs to beat Bulgaria and Paraguay needs to beat a Nigeria which doesn't give a damn about the result, they won the group! Should be an interesting match. Paraguay (with two 0-0 ties) must put the ball in the net, something entirely possible against this Nigerian defense. I think Paraguay will get second place. I thought that these were DOA but they sure can play...defense that it. Hmm, who would have thunk it, a South American team with a golden defense!
