GB, I have never won a superfecta. Of course, I also haven't bet very many of them. But 4 in a row is a tough game to play.
I have had similar sad stories on trifectas. I did a 3 horse exacta wheel/box, the favorite and a long shot over the same two horses and a medium shot. Then, when I did the trifecta, I took the long shot for second and third, but not for first. Cheap. The long shot and the medium shot came in, with the favorite sucking wind in third. The tri paid $7700. But, hey, I saved $3 by leaving that sucker out of first on my ticket. -g- the exacta paid a nice number, too, so I didn't cry too hard.
