continued off topic/muliplayer gaming thoughts <I think the world needs a dedicated multiplayer game>
agreed, seems like a good move--not that I'm an expert on multiplayer gaming. It has been several years since I experienced multiplayer doom on a lan, what a blast that was, kinda miss it. I have not tried playing Quake on the net, funny, just haven't had the time (or the machine til now), and perhaps some of the reason I've stalled at getting into this was that I was expecting it not to live up to the thrill on the lan, without the latency etc. Soon though I will have a null modem cable strung between my PII and my buddy's PII, looking forward to it, just waiting for our day's off to match up now that I've got decent machine.
So many games, I'll be lucky to get an hour in on Unreal before the wife gets home tonight, hmmm, priorities. |
