Hi Wally: I think Siemens is referring to the 'Fully Operational Intranet' by end July. I am trying to find out more, but here is some of what I have managed to glean so far.
It is my understanding that the various components and content for the website have been in development all year, some of the work is being done in Europe and some on the West Coast, with the remainder being completed on the East Coast and is in the process of being coordinated and assembled at FNTN's Ardsley, N.Y. Data Center.
I'm hearing some very exciting, ground-breaking stuff is nearing completion and the main worry now is ensuring they have sufficient server power and bandwidth to handle multiple hundreds of thousands of hits, when word leaks out on some of their offerings.
As many of you may already know, accessing some sites for real time quotes and the like, can be a very frustrating experience, especially during periods of intense market activity. More often than not, access is denied or it's a very long wait to get the info.
My sense is that Finacial Intranet in their endeavors to offer a better and standout product are addressing many of the current problems experienced on the net right now, in order to make their own site a lot more appealing than most. I hear they are working around the clock to accomplish all this asap. So please, let's all bear with them.
I think it's going to be worth the wait,
A good evening to all,
Rgds
