I was just watching NBN and Fred Ketchen V.P. at Scotia McCload was asked about Midland's recent trading activity. He stated that Midland's stock has risen before on false takeover rumours, but that this time when the TSE requested a statement Midland outright refused to give one. When asked what this could mean he stated that it usually indicates that something is in the works. Stay tuned folks this is one of Canada's last independant brokerages.
