Mr. Syd Cooke.CEO
Mr. Cooke has over 25 years of business management experience with both startup and existing ventures, including the areas of product development, marketing, sales and supervision. A graduate of California State University at Long Beach, Mr. Cooke earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration in 1969.
From 1970-1972, Mr. Cooke served as general manager of Riverside Iron Works, where his duties included product development, marketing, sales and overall supervision of the firm. From 1973 to 1975, Mr. Cooke served as general manager of Hemet Fence Company, a subsidiary of Riverside Fence Company. His responsibilities there included personnel management~. sales and primary management of the oompany.
In 1975, Mr. Cooke formed Northiam Development, a construction and development firm, and served as managing general partner. The primary business of the company was the purchasing of property, obtaining entitlements and then selling the project He started S.LC & Associates, a construction and development sole proprietorship, developing and building more than 150 subdivision homes, several custom homes, and two commercial projects. Mr. Cooke also served as a General Partner in THT Construction, a construction firm assisting insurance companies in the rebuilding of properties damaged by fire, flood, or other disastrous events, and this continued until 1989.
In 1989, Mr. Cooke served as Managing General Partner of Camco Properties, Camco Investment Properties, and Plymouth Associates. These entities were involved in obtaining entitlements for various projects and then selling these projects to retail developer~
Mr. Cooke s pnmary responsibilities at Emission Controls Corp are in the supervision of technology research, product development. product market penetration strategies and providing the overall corporate direction to the firm.
