The key to understanding all these grades calculated with a 1mm by 1mm screen is stone breakage. The breakage occurs due to the use of reverse circulation drills, which crush large and small stones alike. In fact, the fact that Monopros was able to extract two really nice size stones from 5034 using reverse circulation drills is an excellent sign that there exists a very healthy quantity of large stones in this pipe. If you dont understand how stone breakage needs to be factored in to the equation, then you cant arrive at an accurate figure. Therefore, for those who want an explanation of how to factor in stone breakage in a conceptual manner(since actual breakage statistics are not yet known), call Jan Vandersande and ask him. However, suffice to say, the breakage figures will impact both grade and value results.
