Hal, I am sure I would like the books you recommended, but I totally lost my attention span when my child was born, and have never gotten it back. I used to be a serious reader of serious books, but now I simply cannot concentrate. I think that is why I read so much poetry, and so many different magazines and newspapers. The world the way it is right now, today, the global village and contemporary ideas are all really fascinating to me. And I am a political junkie. My husband cannot understand why I lie transfixed in front of all the weekend talking head programs, because he thinks they are all the same. I suppose in a way they are, but every subtle nuance fascinates me.
