3ComBoy,

It was very interesting to learn that you work
for 3Com on the USRX side. So I wanted to ask you
some questions...if confidentiality is a problem then
don't worry about answering. I'll understand.

1) I want to make sure I got something right a few
days ago from checking on Jabil and from fellow poster
David Lawrence. It seems that the USRX side of 3Com
does not contract out work to Jabil, except possibly
for the Palm Pilots. Can you confirm this? I think
this is important because there may be some association
between 3Com x2 modems and Jabil stating that there was a large slowdown of orders from a communications company. 3Com uses
Jabil quite extensively. I think some people may be associating
a weak earnings report on the x2 modems because of the
weakness in Jabil's revenues. (Jabil stated that sales
revenues will be flat for the next few quarters).

If USRX modems don't have anything to do with Jabil, then
this implies the Jabil/USRX association is ill-founded.

2) Also, how is moral at the USRX plants? Are the layoffs
affecting moral? Do people around there feel that production
output is becoming more efficient or robust? Any comments
on this would be appreciated. Do people there notice
what COMS stock price is doing, and if so, what's their
reaction?

Thanks,

joe
