Speaking of publications, it took a while, but we finally got Y2K mentioned in the Wall Street Journal. Problem is, the article is about a scam company called "FBN". As long time ALYD thread readers know, the idea for FBN really gained momentum here last October: Message 1743234

I must say, however, my family is in the process of disowning me. First they read I'm going to strip bars on supposed business trips, and now they think I'm going to jail for fraud.

So, to improve my reputation, I've decided to start devoting a large portion of my time to lobbying for the passage of "Larry Boy's Law". Basically it requires all localities to keep lists of children who are given time outs for mistreating Beanie Babies. It's a terrible problem for collectors, you know. Invite over the grandkids and that $50 bear from the UK could find itself with chocolate stains. Don't kid yourself, Beanie Babies don't survive the washing machine, or the microwave for that matter.

I'll let you know if I'm called to testify before Congress... or if I'm the defendant on Court TV.
