Hi Don, welcome to the Fonar threads! Although you can use this thread if you want, most people are using the thread, 'Fonar, where is it going in 96?'. I suggest you read the postings on that thread because many of the people on it are extremely well informed. If you have an interest in Fonar, you can pick up a lot of valuable information about the company on it. Another great source which I use is 'The Cheap Investor', a newsletter published once per month covering small stocks. They are very high on Fonar and include an update on the company every month. Personally, I'm in for 20,000 shares and beleive the company has a bright future if they can gear up manufacturing to meet the expected high demand for their Quads. The decision on the appeal of the patent infringement case is expected sometime in January. Many people feel as though the case will be decided in Fonar's favor as the oral arguments in October lasted only an hour. GE was made to post a $90 million dollar bond in the event they should lose. The annual RSNA show will be held in Chicago Dec. 1-5 and Fonar should get many sales leads from this. You also mentioned the agreement with National Imaging Resources signed Nov. 20 which stipulates a minimum of 30 orders within the next 12 months. Thirty Quad sales with service contracts would be worth about $40 million. Many people feel it is only a matter of time before Wall Street discovers Fonar. This year, another imaging company, Imatron (Nasdaq symbol - IMT) was discovered by Wall Street and went from $1.75 to $8.50. Fonar should have similar potential.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Again, welcome and as far as the computing goes, hey, we all had to start sometime. You'll enjoy it! |
