Multiple monitors appear as part of a large overall monitor. For instance, I have 3 monitors set up. I have positioned them in Win98 to be Left Center Right (that's a simple description of the control).

You can actually drag applications, windows, icons, etc. from one screen to another. For example, my main monitor is Center. If I want some desktop icons on the Left, I just drag and drop them there just like I would on a 1 monitor setup. The difference is that when I get to the left edge of my main monitor with the mouse, it keeps going to the Left monitor.

I set up RealTick III to go accross all 3 monitors by enlarging the window into all 3 monitors. On the left I have 3 graphs, Time&Sales, and my position minder. On the right I have the same, in the middle I have several MM windows (linked of course to the left and right), along with other handy things. It sure makes it a lot easier to watch what's going on.

Hope that answers your questions. It actually is a lot easier once you see it. If you have a mother board with built in video card (I have a Presario 400 and it does), there is a trick to getting Win98 to recognize the onboard video card. There is an easy solution, but it is somewhat obscure in the documentation.
