William, but YHOO has no content at all, nothing they produce at all, they just rearrange the chairs on the deck. I don't use search engines at all,but do use YHOO for stock quotes and news. CBS marketwatch is coming on strong,they have their own content,and news,so is CNET in news,they produce their own. Who says we will need these so-called portals, I expect in two years I will have a browser that thinks on its own,and finds the data I want,without asking. The future is so liquid,portals are not worth 55 times book,55 times sales. And what happens if we go into a recession or slowdown in economic activity,advertising revenues will fall,and which area will the big comglomerates pull the plug on first? I say web advertising takes a hammering near term. Who says YHOO is not just a deck hand rearranging chairs on the Titanic. No one sees any icebergs out there,they need binoculars. Hiram |
