VAUGHN & all - feature article in this Saturdays Financial Post Magazine on Southernera, a must read. Without a doubt what DeBeers did by horning in on this project was to basically serve notice to the financial and resource development world to be on guard, and in the larger picture, the whole financial establishment is unlikely to regard DeBeers action in a favourable light. DeBeers has thusly sown their own seeds of self-destruction and we are likely to see a whole new marketting structure for the beautiful diamonds that will come out of the Canadian mines. Southernera will survive and prosper because of the integrity, determination, and world-wide respect for the people involved. In a world of electronic communication and developing perceptions, DeBeers will have just thrust themselves into a process of being downgraded with a much better outcome in the future of diamond marketting as DeBeers influence subsides, and others develop a new and enlightening fresh approach to bringing diamonds to the cherishment of their owners. DeBeers, you done goofed!!
