Not sure I understand your point here. Intel is moving the low cost chips to BGA (surface mount) to capture some embedded sales (drives up chip volume and can use lower speed parts so the whole of the speed distribution gets sold), and also both of the current 'standard' MB connector designs. This is just the 'capture the value' phase - as chip yields go up and volume starts to build, Intel wants to efficiently harvest all of the potential sales opportunities.

What is the impact on Dell, in your opinion?
