Ericsson's admits CDMA is the next generation technology.They realize they have totally missed out on the greatest radio technology ever devised.Ericsson now blindly keeps bumping into QUALCOMM'S IPR in the dark in a masquerade of trying to look like they invented something new in CDMA technology.They are beat up and bruised and will in front of the congress of the United States appear desperate with a false sense of confidence that there"GSM derived CDMA"is there own invention.Give me a break and the American Congress as well.The plain black and white facts are that QUALCOMM owns the IPR.The new WCDMA that Ericsson claims as there own includes soft handoff,rake receivers and closed loop power contoller all which are in QUALCOMM'S patent core IPR.QUALCOMM's patents issued are 130 strong and 400 pending.Gee I think Ericsson is in a bit of a bind as GSM become more a legacy system desperately needing CDMA overlay or suffering the inevitable sudden death syndrome.QUALCOMM's position is a great one as they command all the necessary IPR and should not negotiate with terrorist as is the US Goverments policy.Now Ericsson announces that it is looking at"US companies to purchase".I wonder as dose all of us who have spent many years investing in QUALCOMM and are dedicated shareholders will tolerate even the entertainment that we are a target.Lets hear it for QUALCOMM's infinate wisdom in creating one great BIG POSION PILL.Hopefully this will taint and destruct there efforts should they come at us.QUALCOMM was created to grow into a Blue Chip stock by its founders and cheered on by all of us shareholders who see a truly amazing American story unfolding the making of another DOW 500 company.
