1 Million people viewed 'net birth. 280,000 downloads in 1 day "The Web's first live broadcast of a childbirth this week drew more than 1 million total unique viewers for the event, making it the most widely viewed single video programming event ever on the Internet." "RealNetwork, which served up the video programming via its RealBroadcast Network, said that downloads of its RealPlayer software spiked to 280,000 copies on the day of the event, compared with average downloads of about 100,000 copies daily." zdnet.com This was highly publicized, I saw it on my network news. I thought it would cause more downloads, but I didn't think it would be almost three times as many as an average day. The 1 million viewers is a record for a single event. Does anyone know where it might be documented if any other item has had 280,000 downloads in one day? It is kind of quiet here. I really don't like to dominate a thread. I would like to hear from some of you readers, even if you just want to send me a private message. Pretty good week for RNWK. Chris o^o^
