No. <<I have been following this thread for a little while and occasionally>>> a little while and occasionally will not give you the needed information to utilize the earnings plays watch lists.

If you read the results only those that were called buys are mentioned.. since the 3 or 4 unsuccessful ones either did not become buys or were sold after the 5% profit goal. I've mentioned BBY in many watch lists and have mentioned the fact that I sold it on a couple of posts. It did go up somewhat after after I sold, but I did think it was becoming overbought and many posters mentioned they agreed it was becoming overbought. One or two posters even mentioned that BBY had pre-earnings report that they would beat estimates and that is when I and some others went into the company... Holding anything through earnings was never espoused by me, quite the contrary.. I call it anticipatory upswing when you get the company BEFORE earnings and get out before the report. Posters and readers to this thread already know that. IF you read the newsletter thoroughly you would know that as well.

There are at least a dozen posts where I say NOT to hold through earnings. I usually lose a bigger gain like in BEAV,CKR and SLR when I chose not to hold through earnings but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I still say and stand buy the call of BBY, since it was an easy profit BEFORE earnings.. You'd have to be pretty poor trader to see the entire earnings play watch list as a recommendation to BUY them all and hold through earnings...

JBL was the same.. JBL was a nice daytrade that I posted in plenty of time for anyone to get in the DAY before earnings come out. I mentioned in more than one post that I didn't plan to hold JBL through earnings. Please read through the newsletter and these posts marketgems.com and marketgems.com and you will understand better.

Posting personal buys was not originated by myself but as a result of numerous e-mails from people who requested clearer pictures of when to get in.
