Craig- I have done this b4 informally- but suspect that we all need to create a KISS version of using QPVirtual- As I am out of the country it is a bit hard for me at the moment. But- it is not difficult once it is done. I think QP has given us so many options to tailor our own world that we are stunned as to how to do it.

Let me try a first shot at it-
Once installed go to QP Virtual setup and create one profile- only one profile is necessary for ALL APPLICATIONS.

Then create data populations using the QP2 scan program- and export it to the virtual profile directory by use of the PROCESSMS command within the scan - the directory should be your profile directory such as C:\meta\CRAIGDATA\. and make sure to use the VMS command at the end of the file.

Once done you will not need the metastock output module at all- and rarely will need the Virtual setup module- all your scans can create virtual files automatically with auto updating- using the PROCESSMS command with the VMS command at the end within the scan.

Then create scans to your hearts delight.

IRL and SIC groupings are often best created in the Virtual setup module.

that's it. See you in Cleveland.
