The only sense I see Don, is that those beaten the worse... a lot is expected of them. If they don't perform they are dumped quickly. When they perform they will go up quickly.

I saw WSW. I liked hearing that, it was bold and I hope a reflection of others thoughts in power. I don't think we can rationalize the turn.

There has been such a transformation in our society the last 2 years I think. I have seen a boom unlike any I can recall. The last 2 years I have seen computers move into homes of people I would consider non hobbyists. I am seeing Cell phones in many many more non-job hands. I'm going to stop there because I can go on forever and i don't need to because I know you feel the same as I do.

The only thing I can think of is that hardware got ahead of software and pricing for the masses. Remember when the Pentium first came out, 386's and 486's were selling like crazy and peniums were being bought by serious hobbyists and well to do business people. After about a year the 386 nearly disappeared and the 486 was the main seller. I know my recently upgraded P200 from a P90 is going to do all I need for another 6 months to a year or so. Then I will build a new system on the Penium II. Right now only the serious hobbyist friends with decent income have the new Pentiums, just like when the pentiums first came out.

I don't think mine is an isolated situation as I talk with friends from all over the country and they see the same sort of things there.

All I know for sure is that as each day that passes brings us closer to the eventual turn around. Now that could be said from the first day of the end of the last cycle, but 3 years have passed so it's gotta be pretty close.
