Have you ever used borland development tools? I have been a software developer since 84, and have used both MS and Borl products extensively. Up to and including the latest offerings by both companies, VC++4.2, BC5.01 and the latest Borl C++ builder (ebony). It's hands down no contest whose products are better and w/ better docs. Its always been and is Borland. I judge how good a company's docs are by whether or not you need 3rd party books to get you through. Everything I've ever needed in doc has always been in borland's manuals. Sometimes I find what I need in MS books/help, but invariably must use a ream of 3rd party stuff. And when it comes to ease of use... BTW Borl C++ builder is the most awesome C++ GUI development environment I've ever used. MS will never touch it if they stick w/ MFC.
