While I am not trying to defend SNDK we should remember that:

1. The Philips announcement was a tie in with Philips:

Philips Ships The Nino 300 Personal Companion to Distributors
Nationwide

Nino Gives Individuals Freedom to Access Information and Communicate Anytime and
Anywhere

NEW YORK, PC Expo, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The Philips Mobile Computing Group (PMCG), a division of Philips
Electronics North America Corporation (NYSE: PHG - news), today announced that it is shipping the Nino 300 to
distributors and resellers nationwide. The Nino is a pocket-sized personal companion based on Microsoft Windows(R) CE for
the Palm-size PC. The Nino provides quick and easy access to information for individuals on-the-go. The product will be
available in retail locations within 30 days. "

2. SNDK is not the only tech stock diving. These are very volatile by nature.

3. Can somebody living in the US visit the major camera & computer stores and compare the prices for flash cards. I visited Ritz Camera two weeks ago and was surprised that SNDK flash cards were the lowest prized cards in that store.

4. One of the basic laws of marketing is that a market leader can usually not sustain market share higher than 60%. I think SNDK made the right choice initially when decided to try make the CF the industry standard. They are succeeding but they do not own the CF business. Lets hope the same happens with MCC and it becomes the new standard.
